My blood type is O+. My parents are B+ and AB+. I read that combinations that can occur for parents BB or BO (Type B) and AB (Type AB) are only B, A or AB children. How did I get O+ blood type?

When the parents are with B and AB blood group, the possible off springs are B, A, and AB groups, depending on the B zygosity. Very very rarely when the AB group turned in to Cis-AB, at the same time the B is heterozygous, there is a chance of producing O group children. In your case I do not consider that because it is very rarely happens. The Rh-positive status is possible. I suggest a repeat in blood grouping.

Type on PDF: All You Need to Know

For example: ABB Rh-positive: The child has a very high chance to get cancer, but that is rare compared to the other kids. ABG Rh-positive: The child has a very small chance of getting cancer, but that is rare compared to the other kids. The Rh-negative status is possible when you have Rh-positive or Rh-negative. There you can find out that the Rh-positive group of child has a 99% chance of having type B/AB group babies. This means that we will never produce RhD-negative babies. So, I do not recommend the RhD-negative parents to have RhD-positive babies. There are also chances that a RhD-positive baby may be born with a defective form of hemoglobin. Even if you have the blood groups, it is possible that the baby may be RHD negative. I recommend that if the baby is RHD negative be tested as soon as possible. You can find out.
